Data Center Operations Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor and maintain datacenters and the equipment therein
• Deploy and repair servers, storage systems, routers and switches, and other hardware in conjunction with systems administrators and vendor technicians
• Work with systems administrators to execute requests on their behalf for hardware service, upgrades, repairs, and maintenance of servers and equipment
• Document the datacenter racks and equipment, maintaining detailed records of rack locations and cable connections through Hyatt’s DCIM system
• Coordinate shipping and receiving of servers, networking equipment, and other datacenter equipment, maintain records of shipments
  Minimum Qualifications:
   

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in computer science or equivalent field preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience in a datacenter environment with hands-on hardware experience
• Proven attention to detail with cabling and documentation of datacenter equipment
• Experience with DCIM software a plus
• Significant knowledge of computer hardware and networking equipment
• Robust troubleshooting skills; preferably in a large-scale datacenter environment
• System administration experience a plus
• Professional problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to travel to our datacenters within the US; travel time 5%
